While Moj has been developed by a popular Indian social media platform, named ShareChat, Roposo has been launched as a fashion social network by three IIT Delhi alumnus – Mayank Bhangadia, Avinash Saxena, and Kaushal Shubhank. Though both are video – making apps, there are differences between them regarding languages, channels, etc.

Establishment And Ownership

Moj is an Indian video – sharing app. This networking service is now owned by Mohalla Tech Pvt. Ltd. which has its headquarters in Bangaluru. The original parent of this app is Ankush Sachdeva who was also a founder of ShareChat. Bhanu Pratap Singh and Farid Ahsan were co-founder of it. Moj was launched on 29th June in 2020 and just after a couple of days, it gained more than 50 million downloads. Recently it has crossed 100 million downloads. 

Now look at Roposo. It is another Indian app for video – sharing that promotes the mission of PM Modi – Atmanirvar Bharat. Three IIT alumnus have combined created this app and initially launched it on 19th November in 2014. The latest version of this app has been released in 2020. This app has gained almost 22 million users in just 2 days, which is a little less than the amount of users gained by Moj within the same time period. 

Targeted Audience 

Moj has targeted those people who love to create Instagram reels, video ads, animated videos, etc. It has gained many users from the field of making infographics and other social media graphics. Influencers who create time lapse videos, GIFs, and long or short video clips are impressed with the app. In short, Moj focuses on establishing a vibrant creative community. 

Roposo targets users between the age of 13 to 35 years. Though this app was launched as a fashion social network at the initial stage, its later version was launched as Roposo TV. And in recent days, this app is gaining more and more acceptance as an app for video status, earning money, and chatting with friends. 

Languages Available 

Moj app is available in 15 languages that include so many regional languages also. The available languages are – English, Hindi, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Malayalam, Bengali, Tamil, Kannada, Odia, Bhojpuri, Assamese, Rajasthani, Haryanvi, and Urdu. 

On the other hand, Roposo is currently available in only 10 languages. The languages are – English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Punjabi, and Malayalam. You are also allowed to choose any language for your video. 

Features 

Moj is a short video app that will let you make and submit videos of up to 15 seconds. You can get many filters as well as emoticons which are very appropriate to enhance the quality of your videos. Creating lip – syncing videos, visual effects videos, etc. are also possible with this app. 

Roposo is also an app for recording videos, adding effects, and watching videos. Time lapse, portraits, natural light, studio light, contour light stage, stage mono light, etc. features are available in this app for editing your videos. The latest version of this app will allow you to transfer money and chat with friends. Moreover, Roposo offers you many channels like For You, Daily Wishes, Bhaloi, Wow, Hungry TV, Gabru, etc.
